MEET THE JUDGES

Our panel of qualified judges will be crowning the Daytona Beach Wing Battle Champion
Scoring will be done through a blind taste test in the following categories and rating scales:
1. Taste (Rating the flavor or sauce used): 1 - 5 Points
2. Quality (Rating how the food was prepared/cooked): 1 - 5 Points
3. Overall (Rating overall opinion of the wing, including presentation, smell, creativity, etc.): 1 - 10 Points
The sum of the 3 scores will give the Competitor their total (out of a possible 20 total points). In the event of a tie, the judges will receive 1 additional wing from the tied Competitors and complete a new scorecard.

Chef Alain Lemaire is a celebrated Haitian-born culinary artist known for his bold Caribbean flavors and mission to elevate Haitian cuisine globally. He is the Co-owner and Executive Chef of Sensory Delights, a Florida-based boutique catering company, and the founder of "Ou Manje Deja?"—a private chef service and lifestyle brand blending tradition with innovation.

A Culinary Arts and Food Service Management graduate from Johnson & Wales University, Chef Lemaire has appeared on Discovery+’s Luda Can’t Cook with Ludacris, Food Network’s Chopped, Cutthroat Kitchen, and Fire Masters. He’s also showcased his talents at top events like the South Beach and Charleston Wine & Food Festivals, and the Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival.

In 2018, he made history by joining the first all-Haitian dinner at the James Beard House. In 2025, he was named one of the World’s Top 50 Haitian Cultural Icons for promoting Haitian heritage through food.

His clientele includes former Haitian Presidents Jovenel Moïse and Michel Martelly, the U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince, NBA star Rudy Gay, and Grammy-winning band Arcade Fire. His work has been featured in The New York Times, USA Today, Saveur, Food & Wine, and Epicurious.

Passionate about giving back, Chef Lemaire partners with organizations like World Central Kitchen to fight hunger and support culinary education—continuing to inspire through food, culture, and community.

Chef Rich is a former United States Marine and graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America. He is an author of the book “Food is our Greatest Medicine’, and speaker for health and wellness. He is also the host of “1PL8 Kitchen”, a 30-minute healthy cooking television show that airs on the TCT Network to over 100 million viewers from coast to coast. He has also created the first Culinary Health and Wellness program. His comprehensive disease management program is designed to help people make behavioral changes with food that creates a happy healthy productive lifestyle. He has been a personal chef for professional athletes, like NBA Allstar Grant Hill, business moguls and celebrity entertainers as well as served the former First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama. Chef Rich has headlined live cooking shows in Scottsbluff Nebraska, Lets Cook Seattle, Lets Cook Orlando, and the Daytona Home Show. He has been a contributing writer for Healthy Living Magazine, as well as written for Orlando Family Magazine. As an award-winning chef educator and expert in food and culinary techniques, he has educated and demonstrated healthy cooking classes for major hospitals and organizations, including Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital, Florida Hospital, UF Health Cancer Center, Florida Diabetes Center, and Municipalities like the City of Orlando.

He recently hosted a food festival where he got to vibe with chefs from all walks of life and taste dishes from around the world. That experience opened up even more flavor inspiration— mixing his Caribbean roots with Southern comfort and global eats.

His motto, “Eating good, living good,” says it all. Whether it’s just you and your person or a crew of creatives, Chef Roberts delivers fresh food, good energy, and no stress — just real meals made with care.

Based in the Daytona Beach area, I am dedicated to supporting local restaurants and celebrating great food! I specialize in sharing the best eats, from hidden gems, new restaurants, to iconic local spots. I have an obsession with cheese pulls and capturing foodie rich content.
